Busy Busy Bees

Since I have been asked by some people to update my blog I figure I might as well do it today since I don't want to do homework on Sunday anyway...

We have been so busy lately!

I don't know if I have mentioned anything about Josh's business on here but I guess I will tell you a little about it now. His business is now called Aim High Painting (formerly Hall Paint and Furniture).  Over the winter months he has been just focusing on interior painting but as soon as it warms up a little more than one day of sunshine... dumb Idaho weather... then he will start on exterior painting as well. Everyone keeps telling us that since he has been able to stay busy during the winter months, which is usually the slowest time for contractors, then we should be very grateful because our business is doing good. And we are so very grateful that he is succeeding and is able to do what he loves to do. Someday he wants to expand it to other locations such as Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls and then sell the business as we whole. Then what he really wants to do with that money is start up motivational speaking seminars for small businesses and such. It will be an adventure but I am so very proud of him for going after what he loves.

We decided to have a booth at the Spring fair expo at the Holt Arena this year and it was a really good success! We came into contact with a lot of people who want Josh to do jobs for them this summer as soon as the weather warms up. Ever since the fair Josh has been so busy! He has been working two jobs a day. he starts out in Lava Hot Springs because he is working on the Health West clinic out there and then he would come back into Pocatello to eat and head right out to another painting job. It is getting to the point where I think we are going to have to hire our first employee (probably my brother who has already been helping Josh out a little this week) because it is going to be so busy this summer, which makes us so happy. Because hiring someone means that Josh will be able to do more jobs in a less amount of time and not have to turn anyone down.

As for me I cannot wait for this summer! I think this semester I have finally realized what it is like to have completely burned myself out and it is not fun. I definitely pushed myself to the limit this semester, I am taking 17 credits of upper division classes as well as working two jobs, averaging about 35 hours a week, plus homework and practicing on top of that. There has been quite a bit of lack of sleep, luckily I am pretty good at working under pressure to get all my assignments done on time. But I only have about three more weeks of school left so I am not going to stress myself out more about it right now. All I can say is that I definitely wouldn't have made it through this semester without some of the friends I have made over the past year. With Josh being so busy it has really been nice to have some friends who are going through the same things as I am to lean on and just goof around with!

Cool planter mentioned below
Anyway, enough with school. When we were at the spring fair the booth next to us sold these things called The Vertical Garden which I thought were the coolest things ever and I really wanted to buy one but I knew I didn't have the money, turns out they ended up giving us one at the end of the fair because we had brought them a chair to sit on. So my question to you, whomever is reading this, should I make it into a strawberry planter, or put house plants in it. I just can't make up my mind, and since they are made of vinyl they can stay outside year round without cracking. So give me your opinion!

I am excited for summer mostly because I am planting a garden, and it is the first summer in like 6 years that I haven't had a play or musical to be involved with and I actually get to enjoy my summer!! Also we are going to do some work on our house so as soon as that happens I will post pictures of the before and after.

And I almost forgot I am taking Josh to see Wicked in Boise as soon as school gets out I am so excited! I have seen Wicked twice before but I knew as soon as Josh told me that he actually wanted to go watch it I had to take advantage of the opportunity because I knew he could change his mind pretty quick. Tickets were for sale at out school for $15 which is a steal! Of course they are nose bleeds BUT it will still be fun, and we will see what he says after he sees it haha. And I am really excited because that means we get to stay with Erica and Ty, Josh's sister and brother in law, so it should be a very fun trip!!

That's it for now!
